A gentleman named Sidney Harris once said, The
two words "information" and "communication"
are often used interchangeably, but they signify quite different
things. Information is giving out; communication is getting
through.
In marketing, you want to use words that communicate -- words that will create interest, trigger enthusiasm, and
motivate people to action. Words that will "get through."
As promised in one of my other Marketing Tips, here are
some words that work. You will recognize many of them because
these are words regularly used by large companies to promote
their products and services.
Think about the feeling that each word or phrase
evokes as you read it. This may give you a better understanding
of how you can use words that work.
